4-22-09 On the Open Boat trip today was Steve Richter and son. The red sun rise did not look good but went anyway. Got to Graveling point area and had to wait for the tide to turn. Water temp was 55 degrees. Once the tided turned the rain started and just keep on coming. But the fishing was good with 5 fish between 22 and 27 inches. Then it happen around the bottom of the out going tide we had a double header and Steve had a 34 inch fish and his son had his first keeper striper at 29 inches. Stayed until about 1:30pm and both Steve and his son were ready to head to the barn with dinner for everyone. Will be running open boats Monday and Wed of next week and then thursday heading to NC for some tuna fishing. Open boats will start to run again May 4th. (Pic is on the web site.) Capt.
