Fishing on June 7, 2009 Report posted by Capt. Lindsay Fuller of the June Bug on 6/09/09
June Bug fished Dan and his party last Sunday. It was a batchelor party but these guys paid attention. They had to. Fishing was dead slow. Dan had said they wanted to striper fish so we did. The first hour or so netted us one snagged bunker for the live well. We finally found a spot off Brant Beach where the bunmker were a little more concentrated and Capt. Nate Figley, who was our mate for the day, along with members of the party snagged 9 or 10 more bunker. After livelining for an hour and a half or so, we picked up and ran offshore a few miles to see if perhaps the bunker were more podded up out there. Nope. No bunker at all. No Bluefish either. Since this was a half-day charter, we didn't have a whole lot of time to scout around. We did stay out an extra hour to try to find something but it was like the ocean was dead. Capt.
